Synergism between lignite and high-sulfur petroleum coke in CO<sub>2</sub> gasification

Abstract High-sulfur petroleum coke (PC) as solid waste has high treatment cost. Gasification technology can utilize PC and lignite for co-gasification. Organically combining the two is key to expanding adaptability of gasification raw materials. This work used thermal analysis study reaction systems in a CO 2 atmosphere. The results show that starting end temperatures co-gasification lignite/high-sulfur are lower than those pure coke. improved carbonization rate index indicate improves performance. synergy factors all greater 1, indicating process produces obvious synergism, synergism more stage after 800°C. ash gradually enriched on surface high-sulfur with temperature increase, Ca Fe elements have an catalytic effect, but effect saturation value. Ashes from multi-component catalyst increase overall reactivity system, which broaden selection materials, make efficient use resource characteristics both.
